Right To The Fingertips
Every once in a while, you have a conversation that gives you tinglies all over. Nothing special in the topics you talk about, but perhaps it's the feeling that there's still an emotional connection after all this time, and you hope it's not just on your side. Does time heal all?

Time does sometimes heal all but I think it really depends on the people and how forgiving they really are. I've got some friends where grudges are held for a real long time...and just cause there was time...doesn't mean there was forgiveness.
I don't think time heals, but it does help you forget! 'cuz you're getting old and then you become senile and you start forgetting your own name. For those with a good memory the "healing" may take longer. Why don't you just ask her/hEr/heR?
Great, so does that mean one just has to forget? And if you forget, does that mean you will have also lost the lesson(s) learned from that experience? Would be a pity to have paid the cost of a lesson without benefitting from it, no?
Forgive, but don't forget.
I think as you grow older and grow up...you realize that it's better to forgive cause a grudge takes a lot of energy...and what's the point anyways. But like I said, it really depends on the person and how forgiving they are.
you can choose what to forget. With time I usually end up forgetting the bad and remembering the good. As for the lesson, or what you learned through the relationship, it's a value that you take with you, you don't have to forget that. The only 'cost' you pay is time, but it's only a cost it was something you regret. Never regret.
I don't think you can forget important lessons, even if you try. I mean, do you still stick your finger in the fire? No - cuz that's an important lesson that is ingrained in your brain (well, unless you're into that stuff...) It's the same with everything else - especially relationships - you can forget, but you'll ALWAYS remember the lessons learned.
Also, there's an important different between forgiving and letting things go. Some things can't and shouldn't be forgiven, but they can be let go - for sanity's sake.
hmmm.. are these the same tinglies you get when you're high?
I don't know what you're talking about. (No, it's different.)
