Repetitive Reds
Traffic lights along urban corridors are now designed to give you successive green lights, so that you can push out "waves of traffic". This way, cars can go at a certain speed and have a good likelihood of not hitting reds. In fact, this makes it very difficult to hit sequential reds at every light.
But today I did it. Every traffic light was yellow or red when I got to it. And these were long lights too, with all the left turn signals and everything. And I realized how I was able to consistently hit those stoplights: without fail, if you urgently need to pee, all lights will go red.

Yep, you can catch the Green Wave (there are signs encouraging you to drive at the speed limit, "because it's optimised for the traffic light timing"). I'm guess it's in the direction of rush hour traffic, since obviously not both directions can ride the wave simultaneously.

This was from around Willingdon & Hastings to around Rupert & 12th. Including a stop at Comor Sports on Hastings, where they said she didn't have a washroom for me to use (which makes me wonder how they hold it in all day long).
Last Sunday morning on the way to church, I was amazed that all the traffic lights were green as i drove through. i got to church within 15 minutes. i wonder do they adjust the sensors during weekends?
