Face Off
We're in the thick of summertime. So I'm in need of some facial moisturizer with SPF in it. I need some for daily use (applying it in the morning), so it has to be light and unobtrusive to me -- absolutely no shiny-face syndrome like girls on prom night.

This topic is waaaay too metro for me to discuss :)
Just because it's your birthday, Ce, doesn't mean you're too cool to engage in the discussion, you know. Because you're not. Nope.
You might not have to worry about it in Vancouver as much, but the Cali sun is a little strong for my delicate complexion. :-)
So let's hear it, experts!
oil of olay has a new spf 30 that got good reviews.
I have used the dry touch neutrogena spf 40, Shideido (blue and orange bottle) and I think it was Lancome (bright orange bottle). I liked the shiseido the best. but i want to try to new oil of olay one cuz it's cheaper and is supposed to be very light.
I was going to suggest the Shiseido Pureness one too. I sampled it and it's good. Personally, I prefer to use sunblock separately from moisturizer, but if I had to opt for using a combined one, I'd pick Shiseido. Drug store lotions give me rashes.
Isn't Shiseido really expensive, though? I don't think I can afford that kind of thing; there's not much face to save. :-)
Just so everyone knows, CY sent me the following links to products recommended.
I haven't tried Zirh Protect moisturizer nor Zirh Defend moisturizer with SPF 15.
And though, I don't like their line, some say the Anthony Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 and Anthony Facial Lotion with SPF 15 are decent as well.
Maybe Biotherm has something ... like their Biotherm T Pur moisturizing fluid, Biotherm Hydra Detox, or even the Biotherm Actif Hydratant.
Anyone else have any experience with these? (I won't question your masculinity if you don't question mine.)
If you're only looking for spf 15, there's tonnes out there that will do fine for not much money e.g. Oil of Olay. I used shiseido because I need at least spf 30 without it getting greasy. http://www.neobeauty.com/shulsunbllos.html
I also have this for winter, spf 15. http://www.dermstore.com/product_Energizing+Pomegranate+Moisturizer+SPF+15_2521.htm
not cheap but I really like the smell and texture.
On my face, I've started using Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock (comes in SPF 30 and 45). It goes on smooth like a moisturiser. Seems oily on your fingers, but by the time you've worked it in, your hand's dry. Really nice. A little higher end ($9.47CAD per 88mL tube) but still a drugstore lotion.
On my limbs, I use Ombrelle Extreme, SPF 30. It's a little greasier, because it's water/sweatproof, since I got it for doing outdoor activities.
Aren't they all "dermatologist recommended"?? I thought that claim was about as useful as "sugar-free french fries", or "fat-free jello".
So these products you're recommending, people ... are they more sunblock products? I'm looking for a facial moisturizer that also has a little SPF in it.
For sunblock (ie. sports and suntime), I have Ombrelle SPF 30 lotion, and SPF 15 spray (for scalp and such). They're great, though very rare to find in the States; I usually pick it up at Costco / London Drugs when I'm back in Vancouver.
