So Long, Salons

I don't know what it is. Maybe I don't know what I want, maybe I don't know how to express what I'm looking for, maybe I don't know where to look for whatever it is I want. But whenever I step out of a hair salon, I never get a style that I like. Perhaps it's that I look young for my age, and the damned stylists keep trying to pair me with some teenager's hairstyle.

No more salons for me. I can get the same not-what-I'm-looking-for at half the price, thank you very much.

oh my goodness. it's not just me! it's not exactly the same, but i hate the way my hair gets styled at the salon. every time. without fail. i always walk home thinking that i can't wait to wash my hair and start from scratch....

Yeah, that's usually my first instinct too: go home and fix what I just paid good money for! And the salon people always look at me disapprovingly when they see my hair because I don't go regularly -- usually too busy with whatever -- and they made some remark like people shouldn't go to the "family barbers" anymore.

"Uh, HELLO ... they do better than you in cutting the styles I want, and they're under half your price!"

Snobby salon folk.
