Vacations: a chance to set new memories together? Or a rise in opportunities to pick fights of different natures?
With extra cycles, this is what my brain conjures up.
Mostly, it wonders about things that people take for granted.
Or that they don't care about wasting time with.

when in doubt, just hold hands, try to avoid eye contacts, and make sure you eat and sleep lots! :)
Or just take a break from the fighting. Call timeouts and come back to the topic when you have calmed down from trying to get your point across.
Is this a itinerary-filled-sight-seeing type vacation? Because those are just asking for a fight. But if it's a lie-on-the-beach-do-nuttin type holiday... and you're fighting... I say... Hmmmmmm...
There is nothing better to test the strength of a relationship than travelling. If the stress of moving from point A to point B, and all the small things involved in that move, in a foreign country with foreign language doesn't kill you guys - nothing will. That's from personal experience of course!

Would love to give my two cents on the subject, however, I've never been on vacation with a significant other.
Nope. Never.
Pack a travel sized mud pit. Or go somewhere that has lots of mud.. or Jello.
It was an action-packed, itinerary-filled type of trip, with multiple airport visits to pick-up/drop-off people ... and rather poor itinerary planning. I suppose we were just setting ourselves up, huh. Anyway, all is back to normal.
